Complete List of Countries Offering Visa-Free Entry, Visa-On-Arrival, and E-Visa Facilities to Indian Citizens

Indian passport holders can access 16 countries without a visa and 40 countries with visa-on-arrival facilities. On Thursday, the central government announced that Indian passports allow visa-on-arrival entry in 40 countries and visa-free entry to 16 countries. Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh, responding to a query by Congress’s Rajya Sabha member from Rajasthan, Neeraj Dangi, mentioned that Indian passport holders are also eligible for e-Visa facilities.

“The Government of India is continually working to increase the number of countries that provide visa-free entry, visa-on-arrival, and e-Visa options for Indians to facilitate their international travel,” Singh stated.

Granting visa-free entry is a sovereign decision of the receiving nation. Visa-free entry and visa-on-arrival policies depend on various factors, including bilateral relations and reciprocity principles, the MoS noted.

India ranks 68th on the global passport strength index, with a mobility score of 73, alongside Gambia and Uganda.
